Whatever Tapper, or for that matter, the much younger Alex Thompson, says from now until the end of their “journalistic” careers should beviewed with skepticism.

John Stoehr at Raw Story offers some much-needed pushback against Tapper & Thompson’s grifting hustle. He implicates their “factual sloppiness,” and goes on from there, without for a moment doubting that Biden’s decision to run for re-election was a mistake.

when he made it clear that the dangerous and preposterous autopen fake controversy was Trump and the Republican’s attempt to shift focus from their disastrous policies.

But he was also, once again, too nice. He hould have gone further and acknowledged that the latest ginned-up conspiracy that the GOP is wasting our money on is part of its strategy to deflect attention from Trump’s insanity and senility. The corporate media is apparently immune from that self-evident conclusion, undoubtedly at least in part because it indicts corporate media itself.

Have we see an ounce of skepticism supplied by CNN to the claims made by Tapper-Thompson? No, for weeks, CNN has been giving Original Sin hundreds of thousands of dollars of free, utterly credulous publicity.

And Tapper has the nerve to whine that The View hasn’t (at least not yet) gone along with the hustle?

Once the dust settles from the corporate media’s breathless praise and close-order self-exoneration, I think that Original Sin will turn out to be the journalistic debacle of the year.

I missed this: Thompson telling the execrable Megyn Kelly that he’d wanted to follow up [cash in on?]  his long-time coverage of Biden with a book, and it was Tapper who told him to ignore a full appraisal of the Biden presidency and instead focus on his purported decline.

A New Yorker subscriber who’s followed Tapper’s media presence was disappointed that the magazine chose to run a first-serial excerpt of his book without balancing it with he story of the economy that Biden handed over to Trump’s apocalyptic regime. Everything that Biden achieved is now being discounted by the corporate media’s revisionist narrative, which has never, in fact, acknowledged how Biden and his administration rescued our economy. (But they, too, are complicit,  for their refusal to inform Americans of that fact.)

 Let us never forget how Trump incinerated our economy by sabotaging our recovery from COVID. Now Trump is re-sabotaging the economy that Biden’s administration rescued in 2021.

The sickness is the money. Tapper and Alex Thompson are parasites; let’s ask them how much of their haul they plan to donate to those of their fellow citizens whose lives are being ruined by Trump.

So let’s talk about Biden’s infirmity. . .

and, naturally, reflects their top down agenda as well as their determination to cripple the Democratic Party. These people are moles.

Julia Conley at Common Dreams highlights the Revolving Door Project’s exposure of who’s funding the Abundance-waterlogged “Welcome” Party,  and its latest shindig, the Welcome Fest. Wouldn’t you know it is the usual suspects?

Among the contributions to Welcome’s PAC:

–2.5 million from James, the slightly more moderate and connected-to-reality Murdoch, and his wife.

–$150, 000 from Walton heiress Carrie Walton Penner , whose particular anti-democracy obsession is undermining public education.

And on and on. With this cast of characters, Democrats who want to win have been warned. 

No, Ezra Klein and Jim Thompson, despite what your  Jabberwocky “Abundance” manual claims, it’s not regulations that are preventing private corporations from working for working and middle-class America. That is sheer oligarchal cant. Regulations protect  the public interest and prevent the oligarchs from running roughshod over everything.
