For their putrid town-of-Nuremberg town hall tonight, the now-rogue network is arranging for admission to be restricted to the MAGA cult.

Officer Brian Fanone, whose brutalization at the hands of Trump’s goons on Jan. 6 is now celebrated by the Republicans, writes at Rolling Stone:

“In the past, CNN has recognized the dangers of allowing election deniers a public platform and would not allow them on-air. Under new ‘leadership,’ that policy has been discarded as evidenced by CNN’s decision to allow the chief election denier, former President Donald J. Trump, a prominent time slot in its evening lineup.”

The “leadership” Fanone refers to is Chris Licht, the right-wing millionaire who took over CNN last year and has worked tirelessly to degrade it since then.

No, Don Lemon wasn’t the problem. Chris Licht is, and his policies are poisoning the country as well as causing CNN’s ratings to plummet. Lemon was scapegoated to deflect attention from Licht’s incredible incompetence.

No, he certainly didn’t “stick it” to China, the way the miserable little fraud is now claiming.

And no, he has no excuse to pretend he knows nothing about Trump’s defeat in court.

The propaganda outlet is trying to strong arm Media Matters because it’s releasing videos of Tucker’s vile behavior on set but off-camera–greeted with sycophantic titters by his production crew.

Media Matters tells Newsweek:

“Reporting on newsworthy leaked material is a cornerstone of journalism. For Fox to argue otherwise is absurd and further dispels any pretense that they’re a news operation,” Perhaps if I tell them that the footage came from a combination of WikiLeaks and Hunter Biden’s laptop, it will alleviate their concerns.”

This suit will go nowhere, just like Lachlan’s pathetic suit against Crikey that he had to retract.

Nevertheless, it’s clear: the Murdochs are an existential threat to journalism as well as democracy.

The Congresswoman tweets:

“Jordan Neely was murdered. But because Jordan was houseless and crying for food in a time when the city is raising rents and stripping services to militarize itself while many in power demonize the poor, the murderer gets protected with passive headlines and no charges. It’s disgusting.”

Rupert Murdoch has a long history of inappropriate interference into the functions of government, and attempts to manipulate electoral politics.  And Murdoch’s minions follow suit with a vengeance. So chalk up one more traitorous overreach by eternally pursed Tucker.

Governor Hochul has dropped–for the moment–her horrendous plan to plan to wrap up NYC in a bow and gift it to the developers by eliminating all caps on residential building height. And despite what private and public propagandists says, it has nothing whatsoever with building affordable or even “affordable” housing.
