McConnell is not a man of honor, as Biden recently fluffed.. The GOP did not experience an epiphany, as he claimed it would once Trump left.

The Gerontocracy is suffering from cognitive dissonance and denial.
It’s time for them to be retired.

Now NYS Assemblywoman Deborah Glick in her Neighborhood Update is informing us that proposals are being bruited to cut the community boards out of the conversation altogether, “a wholly undemocratic idea that harkens back to a time of alderman and a spoils system rife with corruption and bribery.”

A city run by developers is a city headed for extinction. NYC enjoys that rare privilege.

The doddering Democratic leadership thinks its standard practice of pissing off its base is going to pay dividends in November.

When I called Schumer’s office to complain, the staffer asked me what I recommend the senator should do. When I brought up expanding the captured Supreme Court or adopting AOC’s proposals about protecting access to abortion, it was as though he’d never quite heard of them before.

How incredibly stupid is their idea to codify Roe into law. The Supremes will simply strike down that law. Boy, is the traitorous GOP court majority laughing down their robes at that one.

Sen. Whitehouse decries the “anodyne, feckless” Supreme Court commission; Rep. Lieu says he doesn’t care what Biden thinks about abolishing the filibuster.

The right-wing radicals dominating our Supreme Court are shredding the Constitution by breaching the church/state separation and violating their oaths by allowing their religious beliefs to determine their rulings.

Impeach them.

Biden was cautioned by progressives not to give reactionary corpoatist Jerome Powell another term at the Federal Reserve. He paid no attention. Now he is paying the price.

As was clear when Sen. Warren questioned him this week, Powell does not care if we go into a recession, knows what he’s doing with interest rates won’t alleviate inflationary price-gouging of American consumers, and is is indifferent to the prospect of massive job losses well into the future.

Something to consider.
