“If the Senate passes this act, and President Trump signs it, federal agencies entrusted with enforcing the Clean Air Act or other landmark legislation, will no longer be able to do their job.”

Quite a spectacle, Sen. Gardner pounding that gavel and trying to shut up and shut down the Democratic caucus as it presages its “No” votes last night with a sentence “on behalf of,” each referencing a population sector that will be damaged by the GOP repeal.

The GOP is now a political organization lacking even a hint of humanity or moderation. And it is the most anti-democratic caucus we’ve ever seen.

So there’s one conflict-of-interest statute that doesn’t apply to the President.

There are plenty that do, including one in the Constitution.

The Trump gang jump on the one that doesn’t, extrapolate a parrot insistence that the President can’t have a conflict of interest.

Trump, himself, of course is one of the most blatant proofs of presidential conflict-of-interest–worst scenario–that we’ve ever seen.

But now Trump builds on the lie chorus, adding context and harmonic support–as of yesterday, “it’s a nice thing to have.”

But you don’t have it, Mr. Trump.
