THESE MONSTERS MUST BE STOPPED

According to Josh Marshall at TalkingPointsMemo, Trump and Bannon “are planning a far more radical upending of the global trade and geopolitical order than I think most anyone imagines.”

THAT SAME OLD SV HOOEY

Bill Gates kneels down with the other SV former-and-current titans, trumpeting the “very upbeat message” that Fearless Leader’s administration will “organize things, get rid of regulatory barriers, and have American leadership through innovation.”

“Organize things.” Yes, we’ve heard that before. When I was vacationing on the Italian Riviera in a past lifetime in 1922, for one.

“Regulatory barriers.”  Yes, the real menace to humanity is any remaining regulation that in any way restrains corporate roughshodding.

And every time a SV techie mentions “innovation,” it’s time to close the electronic ports before the latest shipment of tax evading booty sets sail.

How does Gates spout this with a straight face?

SILICON VALLEY GOES BEGGING

Maybe if she pledges enough allegiance to Trump, reputed Clinton possible Treasury Secretary pick Sheryl Sandberg can get that investigation called off?

COULDN’T HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF

Thomas S. Harrington at Common Dreams:

“On November 8th, a puerile con-man named Donald Trump turned widespread economic desperation and the civic ignorance quite purposefully engendered by the US media system over the last three decades into a four-year lease on the White House.”

GOP vs. AMERICAN DEMOCRACY

What we’re seeing in North Carolina is a preview of the Koch-convened Congressional congress that will occur as soon as the GOP has the requisite number of state governors–which it almost does.

Fascists never respect any rules of democracy.

OBAMA’S LAST BIT OF MISCHIEF BEFORE LEAVING OFFICE?

No, the President didn’t get to ram through the TPP in the lame-duck session.

But apparently he has persuaded Labor Secretary Tom Perez to enter the race for Democratic National Committee chair.

And–you guessed it–Perez, a Democratic Labor Secretary–supports the TPP.

Go home. Go away.

DOES BETSY DeVOS PAY HER PARKING TICKETS?

Seems she didn’t like the multi-million fine levied justifiably against one of her anti-public education PACS. So presto-chango, that particular PAC didn’t exist anymore and therefore it and she were able to evade paying the fine.

Until now.

Seems a handful of Democratic Senators don’t feel that her behavior is appropriate or tolerable.

Trump and his appointees believe that they are above the law.

LET’S PASS THE HAT FOR SENATOR SCHUMER

Apparently he just doesn’t have enough money to pay for telephone staffers. For the third day in a a row, it has been impossible for me to reach his Washington office and complain about the hangdog response of the Democratic Party wimps to the menace of totally illegitimate Donald Trump.

As Dahlia Lithwick and David S. Cohen write in today’s New York Times: “We are once again left with incontrovertible proof that win or lose, Republicans behave as if they won while Democrats behave as if they lost. What this portends for the next four years is truly terrifying.”

THAT FINE FLOWER OF THE CONFEDERACY

Our next Attorney General, Jefferson Beauregard Sessions, actively opposes voting rights for African-Americans and the slimey old sneak just happened to try to expunge from his personal record the fact that his racism cost him a judgeship.

One thing about Trump’s appointees–they never play square and fair–never, never, never.

RIDICULE IS THE BEST REVENGE

Trump’s cabinet of horrors and rejects must be mocked for being the delusional, blinkered, vicious as well as ludicrous wackos that they are — regarding climate change as well as everything else.

Stephen Colbert’s takedown of Rick Perry is a signpost.
