It is in fact a piñata of goodies for the developers; it would “override local zoning regulations to allow out-of-scale buildings and towers on residential side streets and other low-scale areas. The bill’s unclear language even threatens current landmark designations.”

One of the bill’s co-sponsors is my state senator, Brad Hoylman-Sigal. Shame on him. He seems to have completely abandoned the cause of neighborhood and landmkar preservation. I won’t be voting for him again.

Terry Moran did his best to correct Trump’s lies and deter his obsessive, repetitive oppositional defiance. But there’s no way to correct every lie of Trump’s during an interview–there would be no time for any questions and Trump at some point would do his characteristic stomp out.

Trump’s crew of treasonous half wits is still more erudite than he is. Trump’s latest broadside against The New York Times–does he not appreciate all that they have done for him?–makes a preposterous accusation of “tortious interference,” a legal term that Trump never heard of until someone piped it into his ear and decomposing mind.

Somehow Trump has no objection to Fox Propaganda’s aggressive manipulation and cherry-picked editing of his disastrous ravings to the press. But routine editing of Harris’ interview in the interests of clarity and brevity entitle him to compensatory damages???

I’m watching the 1989 miniseries “The Nightmare Years,”  based on William Shirer’s book “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. It recount the progress of Nazism as witnessed by journalist  Shirer, a foreign correspondant in Berlin during the ’30s.

Trump’s determination to replace facts with propaganda echoes the Reich’s.  Trump’s fascists  are calling any museum or institution that acknowledges the true history of this country as “un-American,” as they attempt to replace all knowledge with nationalist dogma.  

Needless to say, a huge majority of Americans don’t want Trump overseeing museums or libraries. 

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is wisely  suing Trump over his unlawful firing of three board members that don’t meet with fascist approval.

And Sen. Schumer, how quickly do you think Trump will toss into the shredder the “strong letter” you wrote him about his fascist plan to imprison judges?

They are so blinded by greed and megalomania that they become judgment-impaired even when it concerns their own financial interests. It apparently never occurred to Ackman that Trump would go through with his tariff threats.

But Ackman has been going off the deep end for a long time.

He wanted Jamie Dimon to run for president. He then became a Trump hophead. He told us that Trump would be “the most pro-American president that we’ve ever had.” Up until the tariffs, he thought that Trump and the U.S. were “making huge economic progress,” which means he approves of Musk laying waste to our government.  

Ackman could not be more selfish and myopic if he tried. Plus there’s his echt-oligarch obsession with suing everyone who writes anything he doesn’t like.

Why is Ackman platformed? Why do Americans, as those wonderful take-no-prisioners women at IHIP keep reminding us,  believe that anyone who is rich is particularly wise, moral, or intelligent?  America keeps learning the hard way and then having to re-learn because we don’t seem to be able to retain what we’ve learned from experience.
