The appalling derelictions of duty by the Post, The New York Times, and the Los Angeles Times demanded by their owners have done perhaps irrevocable damage to these once trophy publications.

Rather they are followers and rear-guard societal parasites. That’s been proven by the shocking capitulation to Trump by the tech moguls. The richest men in the world are perfectly OK with selling out this country and supporting Trump’s extinction agenda if it means that in the short term they’re able to enrich themselves even further. Their insatiability drives them to demand that the great mass of Americans be stripped bare so as to relieve these economic colossi from the obligation of paying taxes. In their minds, our nation and society exist only to serve them.

Granted that cultural appreciation  takes a back seat to the preservation of  democracy, country, and the human species, but it’s also appalling the degree to which culture seems to mean absolutely nothing to these men.

The corporate media tries to sell them to us as possessors of great vision. Their vision is as cramped and blinkered as it’s possible to imagine.

If I’m generalizing, it’s not by very much.

While the Democrats are, of course, largely silent.  Every time Trump lies, the Democrats should correct his lie. We must have no more tolerance of the Democratic gerontocracy’s  business as usual. None. Their ineptitude has allowed the Trump catastrophe to continue. Their own adulation of tech oligarchs has enabled the sociopathology of Musk and Bezos to become more and more advanced and dangerous.

So Biden now thinks he could have won? After he ignored for four years  Trump’s daily defamatory howling from the wings? That is the quintessence of Democratic gerontocratic delusion.

And to the 45% of UAW workers who voted for Trump after Biden saved their pensions–you’re basically on your own now and I wouldn’t make any retirement plans. The Democrats can’t save MAGA from itself every single time.
