She goes into this vote tonight knowing that not only did she betray her constituents, she let McConnell and Trump make her look utterly foolish. They knew their promises to her were meaningless in view of House GOP intransigence. She knew, too, but she was putting party loyalty above all else. Now her reputation is finished, as is her political career. Just like with Corker, Sen. Collins pursued an endgame that puts a indelible smudge on her entire Senate tenure.
