the deep-dish wildly ill-informed true believers–not the rich ones who vote Republican no matter what because they’re single-issue tax-averse– are at this point, not reachable. They are a brainwashed cult. and should for the moment be discounted as being amenable to rationality. They will at some point wake up, but America can’t wait for that–there may not be an America by the time they wake up.
That’s not to say that they should simply be written off as “deplorables.”It should be explained over and over again to all concerned everything that Trump is doing to destroy their lives, but let’s not expect that the scales will fall from their eyes any time soon.
