His mouthings about how much love he received and how much respect was shown for the office of the presidency–in his words–demonstrate, once again, how he intends to use the converse construction, i.e. criticism of Trump is disrespect toward the presidency itself–to further tamp down on dissent.
In reality, of course, it is Trump who is defiling the office of the presidency and anyone who wants to protect its dignity needs to confront Trump’s desecration.
