Why does the Post think it can still ballyhoo the hideously expensive and dangerous nuclear power industry with bogus claims that nuclear power is carbon-free?
Nuclear power, of course releases carbon emissions in the uranium-enrichment cycle.
Furthermore, as the climate crisis worsens and unimaginable heat waves keep coming, it becomes more and more dangerous to run nuclear power plants which now must be frequently shut down to prevent heat-induced meltdowns. The water that’s needed to cool them down is just too hot.
Bret Stephens at the New York Times has also been doing a lot of lying about nuclear power recently, but we’ll talk more about Stephens’ behavior in general at some future point.
