Sen. Feinstein claims that the filibuster is used less frequently now than in 1992!!!
Adam Jentleson corrects her by tweet: “She was elected in 1992. In her first two-year session of Congress from 1993-94 there were 80 filibusters. From 2013-14 (Democrats’ last two years in the majority) there were 252 filibusters.”
Eighty-seven-year-old Feinstein must not be Judiciary chair. It is time for the old Democratic guard to step back.They are the ones whose complacency and inertia has allowed the Republicans to take the country to this point.
