PEARL FROM LENA ASHWELL

Some years ago I was reading Ashwell’s “Myself a Player,” an excellent theatrical memoir.
Can’t find the book at the moment, but I do know she recounts a cleric saying to her something like this: “God doesn’t place much stock in money–look at the people He bestows it on.”
