The NYC City Planning Commission, a developer’s advocacy group fronting as a municipal agency, has no facts on its side, and therefore must resort to defamation:
The mayor’s sham Soho/Noho rezoning plan, will DISENCITIVZE building affordable housing in these neighborhoods, result in rampant destruction of rent-regulated units, and likely put 100-story buildings in those neighborhoods. The plan has been exposed by the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation and other tenant advocacy and neighborhood preservation groups. The Planning Commission’s response is to launch ad hominem attacks against these organizations.
GVSHP has requested that Borough President Brewer, Councilmembers Margaret Chin and Carlina Rivera, and Speaker Corey Johnson–the officials whose approval is needed for the scam to go through–condemn the disgusting personal attacks by City Planning.
To date, not a word from these elected officials.
