was rightly excoriated by Andrew Berman at last Thursday’s rally outside the nine 1840s designated landmark houses that De Blasio has, without any corroboratory documentation whatsoever, insisted must be torn down because of structural infirmity.
De Blasio’s real estate scams have gotten more and more audacious–will there finally be court action?
The City Planning Commission, Buildings Department, and Landmarks Preservation Commission are now all captured agencies, that have colluded with the mayor to enable his schemes.
Other speakers denouncing the mayor’s action included Manhattan Borough President Gail Brewer & State Assembly Member Deborah Glick.
Local and independent media outlets covered the rally, but the “mainstream” corporate media was, of course, AWOL.
Soon-to-be elected NYC Council Member Erik Bottcher was pleased to announce that someone at the Buildings Dep’t had consented to meet with him, but Berman on the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation’s website now informs us that the Dep’t has once again reneged on its pledge.
