I certainly suspect that one of the reasons that most of the GOP Supreme Court majority
–save Clarence Thomas, acting as lunatic fringe of the lunatic fringe–did the right rather than the right-wing thing where Trump’s ludicrous claims are concerned is that they are preparing to issue a series of rulings so devastating to this country that they will be forced to defend his court’s very existence.
The giveaway that Roberts knows his court majority is venturing way, way past its Constitutional mandate and judicial propriety is his fervent opposition to any attempts to insist that the court no longer be protected from any and all ethical oversight.
