We can only hope.

Corporate monopolization has drastically diminished the quality and variety of books published, so hurray for the court ruling today preventing Penguin Random House from subsuming Simon & Schuster.

For years, neither Republican nor Democratic administrations have pursued anti-trust actions, and the results for America have been disastrous. Now, Garland’s Department of Justice is signaling a new chapter.
