Mayor Adams wants to tear down the landmarked 1907 Tony DaPalito recreation center due to chimerical structural flaws for which no reliable documentation exists. They have been busted before trying this stunt (successfully) with the landmarked houses on Ninth Avenue. Obviously, one of Adams’ contributors wants the site for a luxury tower.
Every word that comes out of City Hall on anything pertaining to land use is a lie; that now seems to be cast in stone.
Come out February 5 to speak out against this latest assault on the Village by Adams and the developers.
