And yet the fossilized Democratic establishment thwarted his two presidential runs. They then ran Kamala’s campaign as a reprise of the one that got Trump into the White House the first time. They wanted to prove that the strategies they used to elect Obama could somehow continue to work. Axelrod, Plouffe, et. al. scored wins for Obama that eventually came at a huge price to the Democratic party, which was in tatters by the time Obama left. Furthermore, the policies they advised Obama to adopt led directly to the rise of fascism here. But the Democratic establishment would apparently prefer the Dems keep losing rather than examining any of their terminally flawed assumptions about how to govern and how to win elections.
