When I was born my mother’s aunt Blanche, sister to my grandfather Allyn’s mother Maud, enrolled me forthwith.
My parents questioned the Society’s conservatism, so by the time my brother and sister were born and Blanche was no longer among us, they just didn’t give it a second thought.
