It’s always the same fake narrative: Trump wants to destroy a program or institution, says it needs to be “saved,” then proceeds to burn it to the ground.
The monster had the audacity to commandeer the Kennedy Center stage for a meeting with his fake board of directors, aka obsequious servitors, among them doyennes of lies and cacaphony Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartiromo. Probably he’ll be giving them solo concert evenings soon.
Trump launched into another lie and defamation-filled campaign spech interspersed with drooling recollections of how excited he got watching women dance on Broadway.
Then he took part in a fake photo session where he pretended to be addressing cheering crowds from the presidential box. Except that there were no crowds. His zombie gestures resembled a store-window mannequin, but no department store that wanted to attract customers would put that in their window displays.
He plans to make KC a. non-union house. Way to go, union leaders who supported Trump.
He wants KC to participate in his campaign to make hate and intolerance the law of the land, rejecting legitimate cultural expression as “woke.”
He also plans to destroy the KC Honors, which already have been degraded in recent years by pandering to corporate cultural parameters. But we ain’t seen nothing yet. He plans to host them himself, and he’d like to hand out Honors to his campaign contributors.
The Democrats, of couse, say nothing, so terrified are they to be identified with any cultural offering besides corporate entertainment product. A fascist billionaire might then call him or her an ‘elitist’!
Props to the Times for getting their hands on a clandestinely-recorded tapes of his “board” meeting, since Trump of course banned the press. But, oh is the Times eager to euphemize and normalize Trump, and his “strong and sometimes surprising” er, views.
That newspaper’s staff must be completely demoralized.
