No amount of namby-pamby evasions by the Democrats is going to change that fact. They are not the ones delegitimizing the court by articulating what Roberts and his posse have done to it They are not going to maintain the legitimacy of anything by pretending that the court has not been thoroughly degraded by Roberts and Co. Remember how Justice Kagan was publicly trying to maintain that Chief Justice Roberts was an institutionalist? How has that aged?
The Republicans could have nominated authentically conservative justices. Instead they inflicted the country with radical right-wing operatives.
The Democrats will not able to achieve any lasting policy wins until the court is reformed.
