Appalling new monster buildings are expanding Billionaire Row’s blight eastward on 57th Street. The blocks between Sixth Ave. and Broadway have been sacrificed to the greed and egos of Manhattan realtors and engineers. Now the behemoths are rising between Fifth and Sixth Avenue, while the street’s history is obliterated by demolition. Further to the east, of course, is the malfunctioning supersized tower at 432 Park Avenue, the tower that can’t stand straight.
