THE BOTTOM LINE

As our completely out of control Pentagon plans a new war in Libya that could well spread to the rest of the continent, without even the benefit of Congressional debate, Ben Norton at Salon discusses the profit factor: “It is impossible to satiate the bottomless appetite of the military-industrial complex. Arms manufacturers and other military corporate contractors are guaranteed to rake in many millions on a new war in Libya.”

And remember, arts lovers, this in large part is why the National Endowment for the Arts is in the words of an Illinois legislator “budget dust.”
