“LYING IN POST-FACT AMERICA”

David Dayen at Firedoglake.com is as horrified as I am at the way that the incredible farrago of brazen lies in Paul Ryan’s speech was acknowledged only in the most oblique terms by the “mainstream” commercial media, who proceeded to review it solely in terms of its effectivenss as a performance piece.  The fact that performance now means outright propaganda and fraud didn’t seem to both them too much.  . .

“This ought to represent a crisis for the media,” Dayen writes.  “But I don’t think it will.”
