The reason the GOP keep huffing and puffing about “going nuclear” is that they’re afraid.
They’re utterly ruthless and anti-democratic, of course, and they hope to frighten the Dems into retreating into their default passivity, but the fact is, the GOP ending the fillibuster will be a potent weapon with which the Dems can campaign.
