Fresh from his latest rounds of attack on working Americans, Sen. Grassley is leading the latest GOP attempt to shut down Mueller’s investigation, claiming without any evidence whatsoever that the FBI is hostile to Herr Trump and thus impugning its questioning of Michael Flynn.
This lays the groundwork for the GOP to do nothing when/if Mueller is fired, and to somehow justify Trump’s treasonous contemplation of a private spy ring to do end runs around our democratically-accountable national security institutions.
