As pols of both parties fall over themselves praising him, Priebus goes in for big time whitewashing of nationalist anti-Semitic Fascist Steve Bannon, who is now in the White House courtesy President-elect Donald Trump.

As Reid writes, “It only took five days for President-elect Trump to try to silence his critics with the threat of legal action. This should shock and concern all Americans. . . . ”
Conway’s gibberish, btw, is a textbook example of the rhetorical projection that fuels right-wing argument and polemic. When she starts claiming that Reid’s dissent is somehow anti-democracy, you see exactly how devious and insidious and anti-democratic everything about Trump is.
Adam Johnson at Fairness and Accuracy in Reporting examines the terrible, tragic, and often very dogmatic insistence by the liberal commentariat that Hillary was a stronger candidate than Bernie–in spite of every data point showing that she wasn’t.
It was a consummate exercise in mindfuck. As Johnson writes:
“Above all, these concepts were far more about simply asserting ‘truth’ than seeking it, in hopes no one would have the time or capacity to push back. The words chose the meaning, not the other way around, and Clinton was ‘electable’ and ‘vetted’ simply by repetition. . . .

With the warm and squishy words delivered by Hilary Clinton and Barack Obama–whose acquiescence to the Republicans over many years have helped bring us to this precipice. Neither one is at all equipped to help America resist what Trump is going to unleash. They blew it and they need to go away, enjoy their millions, and let an actual Democratic party be reborn.
