DOESN’T MAGA THINK THERE’S SOMETHING WEIRD

about the fact that Trump insists “there’s never been anything like it” about every single item on his agenda and personal grievance docket?

WSJ IS NOW PUBLISHING REPUBLICAN PROPAGANDA AS FACT

On the Maddow blog, Steve Benen analyzed the Journal’s outrageous violation of journalistic ethics: It relied “on Biden’s Republican foes — during an election season — to substantiate one of the Republican Party’s core criticisms of the Democratic incumbent.”

Everyone at the WSJ involved in their hit job on Biden yesterday should be put on suspension. And I say this as someone who hates the idea of haircuts being administered to journalists, but the punishment should fit the crime.

Otherwise, we know what conclusion to draw.

DID BEZOS INSTALL WILL LEWIS TO ENSURE THAT TRUMP CAN STEAL THE ELECTION?

Ir’s really the only explanation that makes sense. Lewis is an atrociously bad fit for the Washington Post, as was demonstrated when he called an editorial meeting and then proceeded to insult the Post’s distinguished journalistic personnel. Murdoch’s yeomen never know how to function outside their louche, authoritarian bubble.

The giveaway: Lewis at his get acquainted meeting boasted that he was going to pursue “untapped audiences.” Welcome to the Murdoch tabloidization of the Post.

Bezos has tortured, not nurtured the Post. It’s as if he lacks any respect for it, beginning with his demand for ersonnel cuts the moment he acquired the paper. He is nickel-and-diming them into free fall.

MURDOCH’S VIRTUAL TAKEOVER OF THE WASHINGTON POST

His henchman are now running the paper, and are likely to steer the Post into a Trump-subservient, Tory-branded  retreat.

Dan Froomkin at Presswatchers clues us in to what to expect.  Owner Bezos installed Murdoch toady Will Lewis, whose record is squalid to say the least, as publisher. OK, could we stop deluding ourselves that mogul ownership doesn’t influence editorial coverage?

Bezos refuses to adquately fund the Post, and therefore Lewis presided over the disastrous buy-outs of last fall, which crippled the editorial staff.

Lewis has wasted no time in “unceremoniously driving out executive editor Sally Buzbee and replacing her with two additional white male former Murdoch henchmen.”

Question:  Why are Murdoch-ites considered qualified to run a legitimate, mainstream news organization?  And why does America need to provide employment opportunities for right-wing British media executives?

JUDGE CANNON SHOULD BE TRIED ALONGSIDE TRUMP

She is engaged in obstruction of justice in the service of election interference, as she works to ensure that the electorate will not be able to weigh the likely guilty verdict that Trump would suffer were he tried.

Utterly indifferent to any other consideration than protecting Trump, she wants to give Trump as much space as he needs to vent his ever-more outrageous and inflammatory claims of victimhood.
