IT’S TRUMP WHO WON’T BE ABLE TO PASS A DRUG TEST

President Biden undoubtedly knows that Trump’s been on the stimulant happy dust for decades, so he should call Trump’s bluff and agree to a drug test as long as Trump takes one, too.

Remember what “Apprentice” staffer Noel Casler said: the Adderall was flying out of Trump’s surgically-repaired nose.

The Trump syndicate is desperately afraid that knowledge of Trump’s addiction will become widespread. Thus its insistence that it is Biden, not Trump, who is the substance abuser.

MAGA HAS LOST THE FACULTY OF BOREDOM

Every day Trump mewls the same whimpering complaints and defamation, and every day something that’s happened with his sprawling legal exposure is, so he claims, like nothing the world’s ever seen.

CORPORATE MEDIA REFUSES TO INFORM AMERICANS

How can democracy in America survive when the mainstream corporate media goes out of its way to not report crucial facts on many of what should be among the most urgent concerns of the electorate?

Media Matters for America reports that their analysis found “thhat from May 9 through May 16 top local newspapers and TV outlets in the largest media markets to reach the battleground states of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin did not bring” the Washington Post’s story of Trump’s quid pro quoa with the oil executives “to local audiences — with one exception.”

It is anybody’s guess why the corporate media is plumping so hard for Trump, except then, again, it isn’t–the corporate chieftains don’t want to pay taxes. The only thing these execs–same for Wall Street–seem to be concerned with is short-term financial gain. And yet they ignore the fact that Trump is threatening to seize the endowments of private educational institutions, and Michael Cohen ha warned that Trump has ever intention of shaking down individuals or corporations whose wealth he covets.

Where the corpoate media is concerned, the additional irony is that Trump, like his beloved Hitler did, will undoubtedly within his first year of a second term move to shut down any independence the corpoate media has tried to maintain.

JUSTICE ALITO TIED HIS COLORS TO THE MAST & HIS TRUMP FLAG TO HIS FLAGPOLE

Has there ever, in the entire history of the United States, been a Supreme Court majority as defiantly lawless, corrupt, and transactional as  the one over which John Roberts now presides?

DOES ANYONE EDIT THE NYT ANYMORE?

“With Mr. Trump leading in the polls,” A LIE included in Rob Copeland’s Times article about  fascistic Wall Street morons who now support Trump although he has made clear that he will impound private wealth.

Finance reporting in the Times, or anywhere else in the corporate media for that matter, skews right even more predictably than do the news desks. But nevertheless, this type of slovenliness is just outrageous.

This article is just one ventilated opinion after another–Biden’s “flagging siupport for Israel.” ??? Copeland iclaims insidiously that it is non-white and youth voters–rather than the actual majority of Americans–who are demanding that the Gaza genocide stop.

This piece should have been properly labelled an editorial. That wouldn’t have made it any less of a shoddy assault on the facts.

One thing is clear: Wall Street will rue the day it supported Trump should he win.

And so will the Times.

SEN. HOYLMAN-SIGAL’S WANING INTEREST IN NEIGHBORHOOD AND LANDMARK PRESERVATION

As Village Preservation reported in 2021, State Senator Hoylman-Sigal didn’t do nearly as much as he could have to stop the unadulterated plunder of our city engendered by that year’s infamous Soho-Noho-Chinatown upzoning hustle.

Now Hoylman-Sigal has signaled his acquiescence to a developer-run city by advocating for the lifting of the FAR density cap and his CO-SPONSORING the Tech Bros bills to strip religious properties of landmark protection.

I recently had a conversation with a staffer in Sen. Hoylman-Sigal’s office who insisted that lifting the density cap wouldn’t result in overiding height limits. He mansplained to me that I had it all wrong. In reality he wasn’t telling the truth, as I pointed out to him. When you lift the density restrictions in a city as logjammed as NYC, you have only one way to go–up.

Our pols think that we’re stupid.

MAYOR ADAMS’ BUDGET IS ANTI-NEIGHBORHOOD, ANTI-LITERACY & ANTI-DEMOCRACY

Blistering cuts to our library system, and a windfall of deregulation for the developers who fund him.

In fact, it’s a developer dictated budget, in which local input over the current development frenzy is lessened further.

For shame.

AS MORE & BIGGER RESIDENTIAL TOWERS ARE BUILT IN MANHATTAN, HOUSING BECOMES LESS AFFORDABLE

Village Preservation disproves the canard that lifting all restraints on residential tower size is the answer to the housing crisis.

“We’re building mostly expensive housing which many New Yorkers can’t afford, and losing existing affordable housing, including the nearly 120,000 units of rent regulated housing lost in NYC in just the three years between 2019 and 2022.”

City Hall has exploited the affordability crisis to give the developers who coerce, legally bribe, intimidate or cajole politician after politician just about everything they’ve always dreamed of.

We have a affordable housing boondoggle crisis. It’s one of the biggest scams ever hatched in this city.

ANOTHER SHAM PRESIDENTIAL POLL FROM THE NYT

The Times polls are consistently wrong when it comes to domestic electoral politics, and consistently oversample Republicans.

They are, in the words of Joe Scarborough, “garbage.”

TRUMP’S FASCIST SENATE ENTOURAGE DON IDENETICAL UNIFORMS

Instead of brown shirts, they wear Trump’s Star-Spangled, badly fitting drag.

Traitorous automatons.
