UNEASY LAUGHTER FROM TRUMP’S STAFF OF ENABLERS

as he spouts today–as he does every day–delusional nonsense, claiming his rally crowds are unlike anything seen in the history of the world.

DISPATCHES FROM A TALLULAH TRAIN WRECK

Ron Weekes, who sells rare books and autographs in East Aurora, New York, got in touch recently re: two letters he is selling written by a cast member in Talulah’s ill-starred Antony and Cleopatra in 1937. The author is a “Bob,” who we think might be Robert Williamson, who payed Mardian, writing to a “Dave” in New York.

The letters are very campy and very dishy about the show. Tallulah herself appends a “Hi Dave” to one of them.

An extensive tour was originally planned until the producers curtailed the whole thing and fast-tracked it into New York.

“I will be home in two weeks – we open in New York November 10 – we play Columbus,Indianapolis & Cincinnati then home. Although I’m terribly thrilled that I am going to see you and mother and everyone I don’t think that the play is in any condition to go into New York yet. We’ve had quite bad notices and it’s just not right. I’m frightened of it. But I guess the management know what it is doing. I sincerely hope so.”

Management was cutting its losses.

NO, MARCO RUBIO

the truth is, no one believes more devoutly in socialism–but only for the wealthy–than you, your puppeteer Mitch McConnell, and in fact the entire Republican Congressional caucus.

You can keep flogging that dead horse all you want, but the truth is that young voters are not spooked by that socialist label and understand how socialized our society and economy is (mostly for the wealthy, a little bit for everybody else.)

LETTER FROM A CONSTITUENT OF COUNCIL MEMBER RIVERA

Rivera is ginning up her reelection campaign and my friend her constituent isn’t having any of it, not after Rivera betrayed her community and reneged on a campaign promise by embracing the Tech Hub scam.

“I sure wish you had stood up to the real estate lobby. So disappointed in someone I thought a great jewel in our community. But you were not alone! The whole city council–Sad, sad.”

OUR SUPREME COURT HAS BEEN DELEGITIMIZED

It does no good to attempt to preserve the sanctity of a public institution by pretending that it has not been sullied. At this moment, the Supreme Court is over. Until the Court is expanded to reflect an honest cross-section rather than a critical mass of fraudulently-installed right-wing extremists, its decisions should be ignored.

BIDEN MUST GO AFTER THE TRUMP FAMILY T’ROW NIGHT

The shameless hypocricy of Trump’s accusations about Hunter Biden is the point: in Karl Rove style, Trump & Co. attack others in areas in which they themselves are most vulnerable. And the effect on the electorate is a kind of cognitive dissonance–therefore, Biden must enumerate the almost unprecedented corruption of the First Family.

And don’t forget to take on Jared!
