For all of these reasons, Mike Pompeo is absolutely the wrong choice to serve as the United States’ top diplomat, and I will vote against him.”

I mean, as Seth Abramson tweeted, did anyone notice that Trump just said he’d tried to keep Mueller’s investigation “down”??

Don’t worry, we’ll take care of it, we’ll sandbag Mueller’s investigation every way we can–but you don’t blow it by taking the fateful step of actually firing him.
