KELLYANNE GETS INTO SHOW AND TELL

Does anything more vividly signal the way that Trump, his minions, and the GOP are assaulting truth, logic, sentientcy, leading a putsch of cultural regression–

MICHAEL HOWARD MAKES A DEBUT

Last winter I interviewed Michael Howard–director, acting teacher, and NOW AUTHOR–about his pupil Diana Sands. He taught her at the High School of Performing Arts in the early 1950s and then privately at his studio after she graduated.

An amazingly youthful 93 at the time, he’s now an amazingly youthful 94.

His new book, The Actor Uncovered, is full of wisdom and is a good read, a not-dogmatic survey of so many essential sites, sights, and sounds in the performer’s ecosystem.

Paul Buchheit writes at AlterNet:

“The super-rich are by far the top beneficiaries of U.S. security, tax laws, and the financial system. But rather than repaying society for these lopsided benefits, households with wealth over $40 million evade 25 to 30 percent of their personal income and wealth taxes.’

KEEP SILICON VALLEY OUT OF DEMOCRATIC POLICY MAKING

Jefferson Morley at AlterNet reports on the fabulously creative and innovative ways that some moguls out there are trying to shift the debate about the direction of the Democratic Party.

To take the pulse of where these “Win the Future” guys are and how awesome is their creativity, look at the way they’re trying to float a poll about whether engineering degrees should be free.

Why only engineering? Why is the debate framed in that mingy, technocentric little way?

Quite a comedown from Sanders’ vision of universal free tuition, no?

DIVISION OF LABOR

Every member of Trump’s cabinet of ghouls has her or more often his unique task in bringing America down.

Scott Pruitt’s may be the most momentous of all, since as he incinerates the Environmental Protection Agency, he does the same for  the future of the human race.

Coral Davenport in The New York Times reports on how tenaciously Pruitt is prosecuting his mission of annihilation.

“LITERALLY THE STUPIDEST FUCKING IDEA I’VE EVER SEEN”

That’s what Adam Johnson calls the latest cry by Democratic bilionaires–this particiular bunch is techie–to promote a socially liberal but economically royalist agenda.

Has Hillary’s catastrophic loss taught these out-of-touch fat cats anything?
