And it’s by shutting any other opinion except fake propaganda like this that the “mainstream” media gives Trump grist for his attacks on them.

Let’s remember that twice in the past six weeks Trump has exploited a military crisis and won abject coverage by the “mainstream” media, instantly ready to forgive him anything. But we know he won’t have a drop of gratitude for the fawning coverage unless it continues 24/7.

So when these newspapers compromise with journalistic standards and betray their readers as well as the truth like this, they dig their own graves.

Jeremy Scahill tweets: “Trump authorized strikes that killed 1,000 civilians in March. But his multimillion dollar cruise missile show has made him presidential.”

Why isn’t the “mainstream” media covering the human cost of these strikes?
