E.J. Dionne informs us in the Washington Post that among the many, many acts of munificent largesse for the rich in the Trump Doesn’t Care “health care” bill is a tax cut for the tanning industry.
Well, I mean, why not? Push it as far you go, think bigly!
Get away with as much fraud and grift and pillage as humanly possible has been the Trump way since the get-go, and this bill hard wires it into the national GOP governing philosophy.

And now Pence just led a pow wow of the most virulently anti-Americans-who-need-health-care-the-most GOP reps about how to foist the work-requirement scam on America, thus making Ryan’s horrendous bill even worse.

“A study released in 2016 by the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities found that most Medicaid recipients who are physically able to work already do so, and imposing a work requirement for enrollees would do nothing to increase the work force in the long term. ‘Its main effect likely would be the loss of health coverage for substantial numbers of people who are unable to work or face major barriers to finding and retaining employment,’ the study found.”
The hypocrisy of these rich men [oh, excuse me–and women, there are a few like Verma in positions of power around Trump, now, aren’t there?] telling the poor and sick that they don’t work hard enough is disgusting.
Trump’s appointees are an almost unprecedented alliance of crooked zealots who will do anything possible to destroy the health of as many vulnerable Americans as possible.
And they’re wasting no time.
