It is in fact a piñata of goodies for the developers; it would “override local zoning regulations to allow out-of-scale buildings and towers on residential side streets and other low-scale areas. The bill’s unclear language even threatens current landmark designations.”

One of the bill’s co-sponsors is my state senator, Brad Hoylman-Sigal. Shame on him. He seems to have completely abandoned the cause of neighborhood and landmkar preservation. I won’t be voting for him again.

But there’s no way to correct every lie of Trump’s during an interview–there would be no time for any questions and Trump at some point would do his characteristic stomp out.

Trump’s latest broadside against The New York Times–does he not appreciate all that they have done for him?–makes a preposterous accusation of “tortious interference,” a legal term that Trump never heard of until someone piped it into his ear and decomposing mind.

I’m watching the 1989 miniseries “The Nightmare Years,”  based on William Shirer’s book “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich. It recount the progress of Nazism as witnessed by journalist  Shirer, a foreign correspondant in Berlin during the ’30s.

Trump’s determination to replace facts with propaganda echoes the Reich’s.  Trump’s fascists  are calling any museum or institution that acknowledges the true history of this country as “un-American,” as they attempt to replace all knowledge with nationalist dogma.  

Needless to say, a huge majority of Americans don’t want Trump overseeing museums or libraries. 

The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is wisely  suing Trump over his unlawful firing of three board members that don’t meet with fascist approval.
