No Democrat should align him or herself with movement that supports deregulation, which is the undermining of measures taken to protect the health, finances, and general well-being of Americans.
Just look at the billionaires flooding the coffers of Abundance organizations if you are at all confused about what this movement is really about.
Abundance is closely aligned to and a direct correlative to the “Affordable Housing” scam that City Hall and NYC developers (funded by international money) have used to destroy landmarking and neighborhood preservation as well as sane, right-size zoning guidelines. In Manhattan above all we see the result: less and less affordable housing, more and more radically-overscaled luxury development.
The regressive, dystopian, authoritarian Abundance game is unpacked by Dylan Gyauch-Lewis in The New Republic. She identifies what’s behind the anti-regulation frenzy: oligarchs’ determination to do whatever the hell they want, no matter the cost to the public. “Community input meetings, air quality standards, and public interest lawsuits are frequent boogeymen of the abundance framework.” Naturally enough, those are the measures used by local communities to combat invasion by the Big Tech oligarchs who support Abundance.
