The treasonous Justice Roberts, directing the most partisan and corrupt Supreme Court majority in our history, intervened in the 2024 election, first refusing to rule on  Trump’s immunity appeal for months, dragging it out to buy more time for Trump, then mangling the Constitution to give Trump monarchial immunity from prosecution. The fact that Roberts was actually surprised at the outcry that followed shows you just how high on his own delusional supply he is.

Now, what has happened is what anyone could have predicted: Trump has gone off the rails. His megalomania, insanity, lawlessness, vindictiveness, and senility combined to produce a full-bore attack on our entire judicial system.

Roberts has found out what the New York Times and so many other individuals and institutions have: the more you do for Trump, the more he will turn on you if you attempt to draw any line.

Is this the regime that Columbia University and our major corporate law firms feel comfortable aiding, abetting, and surrendering to? Apparently.

The entire Trump regime is made up of parodies like Bondi, except they’re also very dangerous and treasonous.

Adam Schiff during one of his recent You Tube bulletins–his channel is surprisingly entertaining, this is what Schumer and Jeffries don’t understand that they need to do–relates that he, too, is concerned about how college administrations handled the recent protests. But he emphasizes that Trump’s shakedowns against Columbia and other universities is nothing other than an attempt to bring these institutions under his control so that they succumb to Trump’s anti-fact agenda. And Schiff showed footage of J.D. Vance spewing fascist propaganda against higher ed. (After, of course, Vance had milked everything he could from the Ivy League.) What the universities must do, Sciff emphasized, is band together and provide a united front against Trump’s war on learning and fact.

Law firms should do the same thing.

I happened to get a glance at the Post’s cover and it is devoted to smearing Columbia, replete with full page color photo. 

Columbia’s trustees must resign for condoning the university’s submission to Trump’s anti-education agenda. It has performed an extraordinary act of cowardice and self-sabotage, refusing to defend academic independence in the face of fascist harassment.

Karp went out of his way to humiliate himself and his firm to propitiate Trump. Why would anyone entrust their legal affairs to a firm chaired by someone like this?

Huge Lowell in the Guardian granulates Karp’s deplorable, completely unnecessary  betrayal. A judge had already ruled that Trump’s similar  persecution of the Perkins Coie firm was probably unconstitutional.

“The deal with Paul, Weiss materialized in recent days over the course of several stunning moves that neither a major law firm of its ilk nor a president has perhaps ever countenanced,” Lowell’s sources said. 

Did Karp really think it was necessary to voluntarily curtail DEI initiatives at Paul,Weiss? Does he have any idea how he has besmirched his firm?

Again, we see how problematic intellectual intelligence can be when uninformed by ethics or emotional intelligence.

Karp is so unprincipled that he penned a statement accusing the firm’s alum David Pomerantz of “wrongdoing” because Pomerantz attempted to hold Trump responsible for his crimes.

“I engaged in no wrongdoing by working as a prosecutor to uphold the rule of law,” Pomerantz said in a statement.

Paul, Weiss has now positioned itself at the cutting edge of Trump’s campaign to eradicate law and order in this country, to put himself above the law.
