The fix was apparently already in for uncompromising-advocate-for-women Susan Collins, signing off on Kavanaugh before Anthony Kennedy and Donald Trump had announced their selection.
Then we were treated to the spectacle of many-times-around-the-block Sen. Collins suddenly getting all kick-up-her-heels giddy after a hot session with Kavanaugh where she said he told her that yes, absolutely, Roe vs. Wade was established law–what she neglected to mention was his caveat, “up to the moment that I’m confirmed.”
Murkowski is treating any demand that she live up to her rhetoric as partisan bullying.
Perhaps Daddy Mitch will treat them both to a Ladies Night at the Washington Nationals as reward for making a mockery of their professed convictions.
