Last week she asked whether our presumed new Attorney General would be questioned at this week’s confirmation hearings about his role in persuading President George H.W. Bush in 1992 to pardon everyone indicted in the Iran-Contra scandal, thus ending the investigation and preempting legal exposure for that selfsame president.
William Barr, in other words, is an old hand on doing what we know that Trump will be telling him to do.
And Barr’s passive-aggressive assurances don’t mean bupkis.
