Trump is actually trying to claim that one cold winter–or even one cold storm–means that there is no global warming, and he insists that environmentalists explain “what happened” to the species -crushing climate crisis.

Although the primary vector of global warming is toward an unsustainably warming planet, the meteorological phenomenon will bring extremes of cold as well as warm. In any case, one frigid winter cannot possibly disprove the climate wreckage that we’re seeing unfold in real time.
The fact that Trump and the Republican Party as a whole keep trying to press their absurd climate denial is a sign of their contempt for the American population.
