AMAZON WAREHOUSE WORKERS LIVING IN SHELTERS

A friend of mine saw this first hand when he was working in a Brooklyn public shelter as a job developer. Two men left the shelter every morning and shlepped to the Staten Island warehouse via an Amazon- dedicated MTA bus line from the St. George ferry terminal–funded by we taxpayers, natch. Then, in the evening it was back to the shelter, the only place their miniscule earnings would allow them to live.
