Curbed recently claimed that preserving low-rise buildings from being demolished to build wildly overscaled luxury towers purposed as investment opportunities for the international financial community is undermining affordable housing,
Naturally, Village Preservation was targeted.
Village Preservation responds: Curbed “included provably false statements about our record, a quote taken out of its original context, and it left out facts about our affordable housing work that were shared with the magazine directly. We raised each of these issues with the editors before and after publication. They chose not to correct any of them.”
This is how the corporate media operates, and this is one reason why we are losing our city.
