Received an email today from the Mayor’s office, with the subject line: “We Can’t Address Affordability Without Addressing Climate.” Certainly that’s true, and I’m glad he’s explaining that to people. It’s certainly better than what President Biden and his people did–enact legislation to combat the climate catastrophe without explaining its importance to the public.
But you also cannot address affordability in NYC until you address the massive, affordabilit- and-neighborhood destroying luxury over development going on in this city and above all in Manhattan.
