TRUMP’S BRAZEN ANTI-SEMITISM

Remember, every accusation Trump makes or has ever made is a projection, an admission of guilt.

At Talking Points Memo, Josh Marshall flags Trump’s “Epic History of Coddling, Promoting and Refusing to Denounce Anti-Semitism.”

ONE TRILLION SMACKEROOS FOR A PLANE

William Rivers Pitt at Truthout reminds us that: “The F-35 Lightning II fighter aircraft is expected to cost at least $1.5 trillion before all is said and done.”

And we live in a country where millions go to bed hungry, millions are uninsured, and millions are awash in student debt.

And a country of near-zero arts funding.

So it would behoove ballet dancers and suchlike to investigate why their art forms are drying up.

DEMS DON’T WANT O BE CHUMPS FOR TRUMP TV

As Chris Hayes correctly terms Fox “News.”

Fox isn’t a news station; it’s a  bog of seditious propaganda.

It wouldn’t know what a journalist standard is if it got bitch slapped with it.

So no, Dems, don’t reconsider: no debates on Fox.

HOW MANY CRIMINAL CONSPIRACIES DOES IT TAKE TO GET A TRUMP “ELECTED”?

A hell of a lot more than it takes to get any lightbulb screwed in–anywhere, anytime.

The outrageous suppression of his school records by wealthy Trump supporters reminds us that we are learning piece by piece about an all-but unprecedented internal assault on United States and its democracy.

ARTICULATE PERCUSSION

Age one to age seven or eight, my mother spent summers at Woods Hole on Cape Code, where her father undertook biological investigations at the research center. The fog horns she heard there at night scared her, until her mother described them as comparable to the talking drums she’d heard as a girl in South Africa, where her own parents were teacher-missionaries. They were a good thing, she assured my mother, enabling villages to communicate withe each other, very much the way that fog horns were aural warnings heading off water craft from perilous shores.

OBSCENE DEFAMATION BY SARAH SANDERS

This disgraceful person is not a cut above anything; she has, in fact, hit a new low. Her baby-killing accusations against Democrats must be condemned by them in the strongest possible terms.

And Sarah, you meretricious moron, we already have complete socialism for Donald Trump and his rich friends in this country. So there won’t be any need for Dems to institute socialism here; they just need to extend it to the poor and the middle class.

Remember nothing that today’s GOP says is ever true; they are, quite deliberately, opposed to truth, fact, and reality.

Categorically.

GOP IS THE PARTY OF DICTATOR OVER COUNTRY

Michael Cohen calls out the current GOP caucus for what it is.

Were Sens. McConnell and Graham listening, or were they busy off-site with kimono  fittings?

YUCK-MAKING con’t

It also is yuck that the “mainstream” media–and the NYT, is, of course, actually mainstream without the scare quotes–will only report on something like ballet when there is a scandal or a multicultural affirmation.

And then, given the “mainstream” media’s fear and loathing of journalists with any actual knowledge of these “elitist” [NOT] art forms, the reporters never are able to give much actual insight or revelation.

Remember how nearly everyone writing about the Official Misty Copeland Narrative (the same yarn told over and over and over again), was,  deliberately of course, not a dance specialist?

The myth that only non specialists can make something like ballet comprehensible to the general reader is bullshit inc. All it does is dumb-and-generic ize everything even more.

THINGS THAT MAKE YOU GO “YUCK!”

I was minding my own business, taking a walk down a country road, everything absolutely still and quiet, the fields covered with snow —

when I get a phone call from someone who’d read the latest New York Times piece on Peter Martins.

The more I heard about, and when I sat down to read it later that evening–it kind of made me want to wash my hands of ballet, for a number of reasons, which I’ll enumerate in time.

But to begin with —

is it not incredible that the writer announced w/o a trace of irony that a coaching position has been found for Martins–the very same Martins who fought like a demon to keep out out of New York City Ballet every ex-dancer whose coaching could have made a profound difference to performance quality?

THE MERCERS–OF COURSE

In their unending pursuit of inflicting the most harm on the greatest number of Americans, Daddy and Baby Doll Mercer pooled their pennies to rent a stupendously fraudulent and stupid billboard targeting AOC on her opposition to the Amazon shakedown.

Governor and Mayor signed a non-disclosure agreement with Amazon.

That is the type of shady deal that the Mercers support.
